
National and Kapodistrian University of Athens
The National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) is a public university located in the Greek capital, Inaugurated in 1837. It was the first university in the newly established Modern Greek state, as well as in the Balkan and the Eastern Mediterranean region. Its socio-historical significance has been decisive in the production of knowledge and culture in the country.
Its role has been important and determining for national and dictatorial struggles, education, the preservation of historical memory both at home and abroad, women’s empowerment, the area of national health, social solidarity, migration policy, and social exclusion. Throughout its history a number of students and faculty members have played a critical role in the world of medicine, politics, education, literature-in fact, in nearly all fields of the arts and sciences.
Today, the University, aware of its active role as a public higher educational institution, acknowledges its potential and commits to constantly contributing to research and innovation, to reshaping social reality in the country, with the academic community actively participating in a multitude of scientific, cultural and social events and initiatives.

Centre for Qualitative Research in Psychology and Psychosocial Well-Being
The aim of the Laboratory for Qualitative Research in Psychology and Psychosocial Well-Being is to support the development and enhancement of qualitative research methods in psychology and related disciplines, as well as in applied fields such as counselling, psychotherapy, education, health, and work.

Institute for Qualitative Research
The Institute for Qualitative Research (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) aims to promote and develop qualitative methods of inquiry in the fields of social sciences, humanities and education.
